Career Pathways Bridge Programs

Get the Skills You Need for a Great Career

Through Career Bridge Pathway Programs, you can improve your English, reading, writing, and/or math skills while you also gain job skills that can lead to a great career with good pay. Classes are held evenings or weekends so you can work while going to college.

Available Pathway Programs

Electricity

Tentative Start Date July 2020
Residential Wiring Certificate
This program prepares students to install, maintain, and service basic electrical equipment used in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. You will earn a certificate in Residential Wiring. The credits you earn from this program are transferrable to the Construction Technology Associate Degree.

Welding

Tentative Start Date July 2020

MIG Welding Certificate
This program prepares students to join metal by applying heat and pressure to join metal sections together to form a permanent bond. Welders plan layouts or work from blueprints, drawings, or other specifications. 
 


Medical Assistant

Starting Spring 2021

Healthcare Customer Service Representative Certificate
This program prepares you to assist physicians in their offices or other medical settings. You will earn a Healthcare Customer Service Representative Certificate as you work toward your technical diploma.
 


Nursing Assistant

Starting Fall 2020 

Nursing Assistant Certificate
This program prepares you to perform basic nursing tasks under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse in nursing home, home health, or hospital settings. After completing the certificate coursework, you must pass the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program competency exam to become a Certified Nursing Assistant.


 

Paraeducator 

Starting August 2020  

Introduction to Paraeducator Careers Certificate
Are you interested in working with preschool students through grade twelve? In this certificate, you'll receive a basic foundation in theory and practical application of how children learn, teaching strategies, supporting the classroom teacher with classroom management, and addressing the needs of special needs students. All courses transfer to the Paraeducator technical diploma and Foundations of Teacher Education associate degree program.
