Course Description

10-204-130 WIDE FORMAT GRAPHICS ...successfully set-up and pre-flight electronic files for large format output; accurately produce large format graphics for both indoor and outdoor usage including finishing processes; install vinyl graphics on multiple surfaces. (Prerequisite: 10-204-110, Digital Print Fundamentals)

What will I learn?

  1. Identify proper materials for large format graphics.
  2. Produce large format graphics using correct equipment
  3. Identify differences between inkjet inks
  4. Prepare different surfaces for vinyl graphic applications
  5. Apply vinyl graphics on multiple surfaces
  6. Produce outdoor signage
  7. Produce indoor signage
  8. Outline finishing requirements
  9. Outline quality control as it pertains to wide format
  10. Demonstrate wide format equipment maintenance
  11. Adapt electronic files for use in wide format

This class is taught through a combination of in-person and online instruction. Students will attend live portions of the class at the dates, times, and location specified.
