10-526-258 PEDIATRIC AND ADULT CONGENITAL HEART DISEASE... introduces learner to various types of pediatric and adult complex congenital heart disease and discuss the role of echocardiography in the evaluation and diagnosis of these diseases. (Prerequisites:10-526-252, Adult Echocardiography; Corequisites: 10-526-256 Advanced Cardiac Pathology & Case Review)

What will I learn?

  1. Analyze Image acquisition approach in pediatric or adult congenital echocardiogram.
  2. Analyze the quantitative methods of echocardiography in pediatric and adult congenital heart disease.
  3. Analyze anomalies of the pulmonary and systemic venous connections.
  4. Analyze anomalies of the atria.
  5. Analyze atrioventricular valve anomalies.
  6. Analyze ventricular anomalies.
  7. Analyze semilunar valve anomalies.
  8. Analyze aortic arch anomalies.
  9. Analyze conotruncal anomalies.
  10. Analyze Surgical repairs associated with pediatric and adult congenital heart disease.
  11. Analyze acquired heart disease in the child and adult congenital patient .
  12. Analyze the role of fetal echo.
