10-836-134 MATH FOR GENERAL CHEMISTRY...This course is offered as a Learning Community (LINC) and provides the supporting mathematical competencies to meet the calculations in General Chemistry. (Prerequisite: Accuplacer Arithmetic score less/equal to 249 AND Rdg score greater/equal to 249; OR ACT Math score greater/equal to 15 AND ACT Rdg score greater/equal to 15; OR preparatory courses-contact academic advisor 920-498-5444.)

  1. Perform operations involving fractions and mixed numbers and integers in chemical calculations.
  2. Perform operations involving ratios, proportions, and percents in chemical calculations.
  3. Perform operations involving scientific notations, exponents and logarithm in chemical calculations.
  4. Manipulate formulas and Solve equations involving chemical calculations.

Enrollment in Math for General Chemistry, class #16 & General Chemistry, class #4 must be maintained. There will be shared content, activities, and assessments.
