10-605-160 LINEAR ELECTRONICS 1: BJT AMPLIFIERS ...review the characteristics of the bipolar junction transistor and Class A, Class AB and Class B bipolar junction transistor amplifiers. (Prerequisites: 10-660-111, Electronics 2: Trans-Basic; 10-660-112, Electronics 3: Op-Amps-Basic; or Instructor Approval)

What will I learn?

  1. Calculate component values to set operating points of Class A, Class B, and Class AB circuits using bipolar junction transistors
  2. Calculate the voltage, current, and power gain of the three amplifier classifications
  3. Construct circuits of the three types of amplifiers
  4. Determine applications that are most adapted to the amplifier classifications

·         Class Format: Combination of in-person lectures and lab work and online learning materials.
