Course Description

10-152-188 JAVASCRIPT FRAMEWORK ...use a JavaScript framework to develop websites. The framework will be used to create UI components and the structure of the website. The framework will also be used to integrate data from API endpoints. (Prerequisite: 10-152-187, JavaScript and Node.js)

What will I learn?

  1. Scaffold and run framework-based single-page applications using modern build tooling.
  2. Build user interfaces from Vue components using single-file components and template syntax.
  3. Manage reactive application state in Vue using the Composition API.
  4. Implement client-side routing and external data retrieval in a Vue application.
  5. Build user interfaces from React components using JSX.
  6. Manage component state, side effects, and shared logic in React using hooks.
  7. Implement client-side routing and external data retrieval in a React application.
  8. Deploy a single-page application to a live web server.
  9. Compare Vue and React approaches to common interface problems and justify a framework choice.
