Course Description
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the field of metrology, the science of measurement. Students will explore the fundamental principles and techniques used in precision measurement and quality control. The course covers various types of measurement tools and instruments, including coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Additionally, students will earn about applied surface finish inspection and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) inspection. (Corequisite: 31-420-369, CNC Fundamentals 4)
