47-442-586 INTRO TO MARINE WELDING ...students will learn about flux core arc welding, shipbuilding terminology, and weld joint design.

What will I learn?

  1. Demonstrate welding in the 1F, 2F, and 3F Positions.
  2. Identify types of base metal.
  3. Demonstrate safety using welding processes.
  4. Select proper FCAW equipment and supplies.
  5. Demonstrate safety using power and hand tools.
  6. Identify shipbuilding terminology.
