What will I learn?

  1. Appraise herbal history & cultures
  2. Examine the science behind herbal effects.
  3. Identify major herbs in this region
  4. Characterize necessary herbal growing conditions.
  5. Gather, harvest & store various locally grown herbs
  6. Use appropriate part of herb (flower, leaf, stem, root) to accomplish a goal.
  7. Make a variety of herbal health products.
  8. Explore culinary uses of herbs.
  9. Plan an herbal garden
