- Illustrate how persons deal with dying and death
- Outline modern health care services to the individual who is dying
- Explore end-of-life issues and decisions
- Explore the concept of the "Right To Die"
- Examine living with a life-threatening illness
- Compare and contrast death in the lives of children and adolescents versus adults
- Examine the issues surrounding suicide
- Relate to death by accident, violence, war, or disease
- Discover how survivors experience loss
- Assume responsibility for exploring death and dying
