What will I learn?

  1. Demonstrates a foundational understanding of OSHA regulations, workplace hazards, and safety practices to support a safe and compliant general industry work environment.
  2. Demonstrates knowledge, judgment, and communication skills to ensure safe excavation practices in accordance with regulations and hazard control measures.
  3. Demonstrates the ability to safely identify, inspect, and operate a fire extinguisher using appropriate techniques and judgment based on the type and situation of a fire emergency.
  4. Safely and accurately set up, operate, and secure gas utility equipment on a street in compliance with safety regulations and operational procedures to ensure public and worker safety.
  5. Understand dig safe requirements and procedures.
