10-503-730 FIREFIGHTER-LEVEL 2 ...complete all Level 2 firefighter objectives as identified by NFPA consistent with Wisconsin Technical College System Board defined standards that comply with ILHR regulations. (Prerequisite: 10-503-142, Fire Fighting Principles; 10-503-153, Hazardous Material Operations)

What will I learn?

  1. Examine the fundamentals of fire suppression and detection systems.
  2. Explore the various types of communications systems and guidelines for communicating various reports.
  3. Develop pre-incident plans to be utilized during incident response.
  4. Explore various fire attack strategies.
  5. Perform basic communications presentations.
  6. Incorporate the proper procedures for conducting an initial size-up, first in report and initial company tactical assignments.
  7. Describe the various tool and equipment utilized for rescue and extrication.
