What will I learn?

- Design simple circuits using alternate logic.
- Perform general design procedures to simplify complex Boolean expressions.
- Perform general design procedures using Karnaugh maps.
- Describe the operation of a latch.
- Analyze a complex circuit that uses latches.
- Describe the operation of clocked RS flip-flops.
- Describe the operation of clocked JK flip-flops.
- Describe the operation of clocked D flip-flops.
- Explain how asynchronous inputs effect the operation of a flip-flop.

Class Notes
1. IMPORTANT: Each class consists of lecture delivered in person plus additional time in the Tech Hall lab, Room ET129 during the posted open lab times. Plan approximately 30 hours to complete both portions of this class.
2. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Tech Hall Lab, Room ET129, is open Mon-Thurs 8am-8pm; Fridays 8am-3pm; Saturdays 8am-1pm. The Lab will observe all College closure holidays and breaks.
3. This course may require purchase of a parts kit in ET129. Please reference the class syllabus for details.
