- Distinguish between the common law of contracts and contracts formed under the Uniform Commercial Code
- Identify the elements of a valid contract
- Differentiate between different contract classifications
- Examine issues related to the formation of common law contracts
- Identify the types of contracts which must be in writing under the Statute of Frauds
- Examines issues related to the performance and discharge of contracts
- Distinguish between equitable and legal remedies available to parties
- Develop a framework for drafting a contract
- Examine basic principles of insurance and the nature of risk
- Identify the duties and powers of the Wisconsin Insurance Commissioner
- Examine the insurer's duty to defend, subrogation issues, and bad faith claims
