(Prerequisites: 10-606-116, CAD-Intro; 10-614-152, Prototyping-Introduction to, 10-420-151 Prototype Machine Tool)

What will I learn?
- Examine basic CNC machining principles.
- Evaluate the components of the machine center control
- Demonstrate machining center manual machine controls and movement
- Utilize CAM software user interface.
- Create 2 dimensional geometry using computer aided manufacturing (CAM) software
- Edit existing geometry.
- Create CNC Toolpaths using Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software.
- Edit 2 axis tool paths.
- Develop job plans
- Discuss machining center tools and operations
- Examine machining center coordinate grid system
- Select the appropriate machine holding device for the machining process.
- Analyze how to import CAD (DXF, STL, and DWG) files into CAM Software.
