Course Description

10-150-200 CISCO INTRO ...introduces the architectures, models, protocols, and networking elements that connect users, devices, applications and data through the internet and across modern computer networks - including IP addressing and Ethernet fundamentals. By the end of the course, students can build simple local area networks (LANs) that integrate IP addressing schemes, foundational network security, and perform basic configurations for routers and switches.

  4. Utilize logical LAN design diagrams.

  7. Describe the movement of network packets through internetworks.
  8. Apply IPv4 addressing schemes.
  9. Develop subnet schemes for IPv4 addressing structures.
  10. Examine IPv6 addressing structure and use.
  11. Perform basic router configuration.

Class Notes

  • Thank you for registering for the Cisco class this semester. As part of the course, you will have access to lab time. The Cisco Modeling Lab is open on the scheduled day, and you choose the time you will attend. This is an excellent opportunity to practice your networking skills using authorized Cisco tools. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with your peers in shared labs and build your own individual labs. Your instructor will be available to provide assistance and support throughout the class.
