Course Description

10-150-201 CISCO INTERMEDIATE ...switching technologies and router operations that support small-to-medium business networks and includes wireless local area networks (WLANs) and security concepts. Students learn key switching and routing concepts. They can perform basic network configuration and troubleshooting, identify, and mitigate LAN security threats, and configure and secure a basic WLAN. A grade of “C” or better must be achieved in 10-150-200 Cisco Intro in order to enroll in this course. (Pre-Requisite: 10-150-200, Cisco Intro with a "C" or better; 10-150-177, Windows Client Essentials)

Class Notes

This class is taught through a combination of online-live and online instruction. A portion of the class must be attended live virtually during the scheduled dates and times, and the remaining instruction accessed online by the student any time. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: The Cisco Academy Lab, Room BT338, is open on Mondays from 1:30 p.m. to 9:20 p.m. Weekly lab time is mandatory. You can choose any time within this period to attend. The lab will be closed during all College holidays and breaks. The Cisco Academy Lab time is an excellent opportunity to practice your IT skills using authorized Cisco tools. You also have the opportunity to collaborate with your peers in shared labs and build your own individual labs. Your instructor will be available to provide assistance and support throughout the class.

IMPORTANT: The class consists of Lecture which is delivered in person and online live plus additional time in the Cisco Academy Lab, Room BT 338 during the posted open lab times. Plan at least 30 hours to complete the lab portion of this class.
