Course Description

10-150-202 CISCO ADVANCED ...describes the architectures and considerations related to designing, securing, operating, and troubleshooting enterprise networks. This course covers wide area network (WAN) technologies and quality of service (QoS) mechanisms used for secure remote access. ENSA also introduces software-defined networking, virtualization, and automation concepts that support the digitalization of networks. Students gain skills to configure and troubleshoot enterprise networks, and learn to identify and protect against cybersecurity threats. They are introduced to network management tools and learn key concepts of software-defined networking, including controller-based architectures and how application programming interfaces (APIs) enable network automation. A grade of “C” or better must be achieved in 10-150-201 Cisco Intermediate in order to enroll in this course. (Prerequisite: 10-150-201, Cisco Intermediate with a "C" or better)

Class Notes

This class is taught through a combination of in-person and online instruction. Students will attend live portions of the class at the dates, times, and location specified.   • IMPORTANT INFORMATION: The Cisco Academy Lab, Room BT338, is open on Mondays from 1:30 p.m. to 9:20 p.m. Weekly lab time is mandatory. You can choose any time within this period to attend. The lab will be closed during all College holidays and breaks. The Cisco Academy Lab time is an excellent opportunity to practice your IT skills using authorized Cisco tools. You also have the opportunity to collaborate with your peers in shared labs and build your own individual labs. Your instructor will be available to provide assistance and support throughout the class.
  • IMPORTANT: The class consists of Lecture which is delivered in person and online live plus additional time in the Cisco Academy Lab, Room BT 338 during the posted open lab times. Plan at least 30 hours to complete the lab portion of this class.
