What will I learn?
- Fire pottery to a lasting state using alterative firing methods.
- Generate button tests on glaze materials.
- Create line blend tests on selected materials.
- Identify glaze defects and faults.
- Discuss creating personal glazes from raw commercial materials.
- Apply previous skills to produce a series of work.
- Load and unload and electric kiln.
- Discuss firing an electric kiln.
- Analyze alternative fuel sources and their characteristics.
- Fire using one or more alternative fuel source – Raku firing.
- Participate in a group critique.
- Discuss best practices for being a professional ceramicist.
