10-413-350 CDL PREPARATION TRAINING ...this course is designed to prepare students for the Wisconsin Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) pre-trip inspection. Preparation will also be given for taking the State DOT written test including general knowledge, air brakes and combination vehicles. (Prerequisite: Accepted into Gas Utility Construction & Service, Electrical Power Distribution, or Telecommunications programs)

What will I learn?

  1. Explain the Commercial Drivers License (CDL) process and industry regulations.
  2. Perform pre-trip inspections of a class A and B commercial motor vehicles.
  3. Perform basic control maneuvers.
  4. Operate commercial vehicles
  5. Obtain necessary legal and industry related documentation and criteria

Class Notes

Students are required to meet in-person on Friday, June 5th, and Friday, June 12th. After June 12th, students will complete the rest of the class as an online class.

Students will need to complete Independent Simulator Training on their own as part of the self-paced portion of this class.
