Course Description

10-513-110 BASIC LAB SKILLS...explores laboratory science career options and the fundamental principles and procedures performed in the laboratory. You will utilize basic laboratory equipment. You will follow required safety and infection control procedures and perform simple laboratory tests. (Prerequisite: Accepted into Medical Laboratory Technician program or Phlebotomy certificate.)

This class is taught through a combination of in-person and online instruction. Students will attend live portions of the class at the dates, times, and location specified. This class is part of a Learning Community. Students are required to enroll in all concurrent sections. Enrollment in 10513111-1 Phlebotomy & 10513110-1 Basic Lab Skills must be maintained.
