What will I learn?

- Analyze the purpose and usefulness of an income statement.
- Prepare the statement of cash flows using the indirect method for reporting operating activities.
- Analyze the financial statements of a U.S. publicly held company.
- Recognize revenue.
- Manage cash and receivables.
- Measure inventory during the accounting period.
- Measure inventory at the end of the accounting period.
- Account for the acquisition of property, plant, and equipment and intangible assets.
- Account for the utilization and disposition of property, plant, and equipment and intangible assets.

Class Notes
This class is taught through a combination of in-person and online instruction. Students will attend live portions of the class at the dates, times, and location specified. The required digital course materials will be accessible via Canvas on or just prior to the first day of class. The fee for the materials is included as part of the ‘Digital Material Access Fee’ on your tuition statement. The optional purchase of a print version of the textbook is available through the NWTC Bookstore.
