You will learn about South Africa’s developing economy and improving race relations as the nation comes out of the troubled history of Apartheid and becomes a major player on the global stage. You will see how many different cultures are woven together into one nation.
You will also learn how the country’s animal habitats are being protected, with visits to a safari camp and a penguin colony. Our excellent safari guides will teach students about the lives of African animals such as giraffes, elephants, lions, as well as the many animals, birds and plants found in Kruger National Park.
The study abroad experience aligns with NWTC Employability Skills; in particular, "value individual differences and abilities", and "demonstrate community and global accountability".
