FREE NWTC Student Certificate Series focused on identity and leadership.

Do you have a passion to lead and work with a diverse team? Want to develop your leadership skills to make a positive impact on the NWTC community and beyond? Here's your opportunity! Register for the RISE Leadership Series.
 

RISE Requirements

To earn a certificate, students must attend a minimum of three curriculum-based sessions (Kick off events included) in either the Fall or Spring semesters.  Students who attend at least six curriculum-based sessions will earn a chance to win various prizes.

Keynote Speaker: Pardeep Kaleka

Co-Founder of Serve2Unite, Published Author of “The Gifts of Our Wounds,” Award-winning Community Relations Journalist and Trauma Therapist. A native of Punjab, India, Pardeep Singh Kaleka grew up in Milwaukee, WI. Formerly a Police Officer and Educator, and currently as a Peace Activist/Consultant, Pardeep collaborates with government and non-government stakeholders to create policy and procedures to combat the rise of hate in the US. 


Workshops take place from 10:00AM - 11:30AM in SC142, Eagle Event Center.

Former NFL player and coach, founder of My Brother’s Keeper, Inc in Green Bay.  My Brother’s Keeper is dedicated to providing Straight Talk~ Sound Direction mentoring services to assist individuals in dealing with the hardships of life by helping them live with Integrity, Respect and Standards


Workshops take place from 10:00AM - 11:30AM in SC142, Eagle Event Center.

Friday, May 1, 2020  -  Civic Engagement & Our Inner Convictions

Students who meet minimum requirements will earn an honorary certificate of completion.
