Does a student have to be failing a class to get academic assistance?

NWTC provides academic assistance for all credit students.

What is an Academic Coach?

In addition to Academic Student Coaches, Academic Coaches are highly specialized to focus on important foundational courses. These coaches offer structured, Weekly review sessions to help all students succeed!

How does a student request Academic Coaching assistance?

If your class is listed as a Drop-in Lab you can stop by during any of the times listed for your course.

If your class is not listed as a Drop-in Lab, you can do one of the following: 

  • Ask your instructor to refer you through Starfish
  • Email nwtc.tutoring@nwtc.edu
  • Stop in Academic Coaching (SC215) during regular business hours to speak with someone

Where did the Tutor Request form go?

We are no longer using the Tutor Request form. Feel free to use any of the methods that are listed above to request Academic Coaching.

What if I can't make it to the Green Bay campus for coaching?

Check the Contact page and email the Academic Coaching Coordinator for your site.

How do I become a Student Academic Coach?

Contact us at nwtc.tutoring@nwtc.edu. If you meet the qualifications, you can become an Academic Student Coach. NWTC pays Student Coaches $10/hour.
