K12 Mobile Lab Information

We have two Mobile Labs available for High School or Middle School usage.  These labs include the CIM (Computer Integrated Manufacturing or CNC) Mobile Lab and the Electro-Mechanical Mobile Lab.  Both units are high precision mobile labs, equipped with relevant equipment to delivery NWTC dual credit coursework, supplemental existing high school curriculum or for ACP career exploration with middle school students.  The labs and lab aids visit high school campuses as needed for a cost of $50 per hour for lab usage and travel time.

K12 Mobile Lab Usage

If you would like either of the mobile labs to visit your high school campus as a preview, we are happy to accommodate these requests for free of charge.  Please contact Jeanne Pecho at Jeanne.pecho@nwtc.edu to make arrangements.

Training Resources for K12 Educators

Blackboard

NWTC offers training courses to high school instructors who are scheduled to teach a course requiring blackboard.

FYI...Blackboard shells will be created the second week of August.  As long as the correct instructor is assigned to the course, the high school instructor will see the blackboard shell at that point.

Library Resources

All high school instructors teaching NWTC course material through transcribed credit courses can access our Library resources such as Films on Demand, ebrary ebooks, online articles, and more.

Preparation Requirements for Transcribed Credit Instructors

All High School Instructors planning to teach Transcribed Credit for NWTC must be qualified by NWTC in accordance with technical college system standards.
