I have always been interested in how things like machines work. I decided to pursue a degree in this field as a career change so I could have a better opportunity for advancement and increased pay.
My experience at NWTC has been absolutely amazing. The instructors and staff are dedicated to the success of the students. The courses are challenging and supply the learner with the skills necessary to stay competitive in the respective field of study. I am currently employed in my field.
My advice to future NWTC students: You are responsible for your level of learning. Take the information provided and find a way to make it your own. View homework and projects as opportunities to grow your skills. Also, use the services offered such as the tutoring lab.
It can be challenging to get back up to speed with skills like math, science, and English. I suggest getting familiar with staff and the campus. It will help the transition back to a learner less stressful.
