I chose NWTC because it was close to home, and when I first started taking general courses I had plans of going into the Ultrasound program. I also knew that what I wanted to do could be done in two years.
I did some shadowing in both ultrasound and radiology at a local hospital. After shadowing I just fell in love with radiology and decided that ultrasound was not for me. Something just kind of clicked for me when I shadowed for radiology…I am not really sure how to explain it.
I have had nothing but excellent experiences at NWTC. All of the instructors that I have had have been extremely helpful and they have all been great at teaching. I have also met several people that I now consider very close friends.
My advice for future NWTC students: Before you start a program, shadow if you can. Also don’t be afraid to ask for help from any of the amazing staff members at the school. They are there to help you be successful.
