Do you have a passion to lead and work with diverse teams? 
If so, we have an amazing leadership opportunity just for you, it’s called RISE+ (Plus) (Racial Inclusion for Student Equity).  RISE+ is a series focused on intersectionality of identity and leadership. Our identities affect our lived experience and contribute to unequal outcomes in ways that cannot be attributed to one dimension alone.

RISE Leadership Series
Students participating in this workshop gain confidence in developing multi-cultural relationships and leading in a diverse society.  Students will feel the emotion of “walking in another’s shoes.” 

All current NWTC students are encouraged to participate in this FREE leadership development series.

I'M INTERESTED!

Students successfully completing RISE+ will be able to: 

  • Identify one’s own strengths and successful ways to utilize them to effectively lead others.
  • Learn how to effectively communicate with diverse communities on behalf of themselves, their organization, or their projects.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of civic responsibility and cultural competence when working with others.
  • Define the personal and social responsibilities inherent in any formal or informal leadership position.
