Ceramics Studio

Student molds clay on a pottery wheel

The NWTC Artisan Center’s Ceramics Studio offers classes for students of all skill levels from beginner to advanced. Classes and workshops cover the fundamentals of handbuilding, wheelthrowing, and sculpture as well as specialty workshops focused on Glazing, Raku, and Pit Firing. The studio features a classroom set of Brent pottery wheels, a slab roller, extruder, many hand-made glazes, and hand tools. Once you’ve learned the basics, there is plenty of open studio time available to hone your craft.

In addition to the non-credit community classes, NWTC also offers an accredited certificate program in the ceramics studio.
