Position: Advisor, Academic
Department: Student Development
Debbie Sobiesczyk is one of the Academic Advisors that works with students in the Trades & Engineering Technologies (TET) Division. She has a Master’s Degree from Concordia University Wisconsin and a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater.
Debbie has worked in Higher Education for over 10 years in areas including Academic Advising, Admissions, and Pre-College programs. She has been with NWTC for the past four years; working on the Marinette and Sturgeon Bay campus before coming to Green Bay. She says that her favorite part about being at NWTC is being able to get to know and work with the students in her programs. Being in TET allows her to get out and be away from here desk to visit the labs from her programs, Tech Hall, and the Landscape Horticulture building to see firsthand the talent, hard work and skills that NWTC students demonstrate.
When not at work, Debbie also prefers to be out and about …. road trips, concerts, photography, cooking and museums and anything outdoors. Born and raised in Green Bay, Debbie grew up about two miles from the NWTC Green Bay campus, and she is very happy to be back…Happiness is a Choice!
