NWTC to announce No Risk College Enrollment program

Author: Kara Leiterman

Thursday May 21, 2020
Experience college classes with no financial risk for one week. If within the first week, NWTC is not right for you, just drop the course and you won’t owe anything. That is the center of a new program at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College.

With no risk enrollment all students (current and new) can enroll and attend class the week of August 17 – 21, 2020 without paying tuition and fees.

“We know there has been a lot of uncertainty about what college will look like next year. We want students to know we will continue to be a hands-on learning college, and we are planning for in-person lab and clinical courses in the fall,” NWTC President Dr. Jeff Rafn said. “With no risk enrollment, students can try in-person, online, and blended courses.”

In addition, the College is also waiving the $30 application fee for anyone who applies before August 1, 2020.

NWTC leaders will explain the No Risk Enrollment program and the College’s plans for summer and fall semesters during a series of live virtual community forums scheduled for next week.

Members of the NWTC community and the public can participate in the live stream by visiting nwtc.edu/emergency. A link to the forums will be posted on the morning of each session.

Rafn will devote time to answer questions from the community. The College is asking questions to be submitted in advance to ensure all questions are answered. Email questions ahead of time to publicrelations@nwtc.edu. Questions can also be submitted using the chat or [Q&A] feature during each session.

Virtual Community Forum dates:

May 26 at 1:00 p.m. & 6:00 p.m.

May 28 at 10:30 a.m.

May 29 at 10:00 a.m.

For those who are unable to watch the community forums live, links will be made available NWTC.edu afterward for streaming at any time.
