NWTC honors Health Sciences graduate and Aurora Health Care

Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) is pleased to announce Ying LaCourt as the recipient of the 2018 NWTC Distinguished Alumni Award.

The NWTC Alumni Association chose LaCourt, who graduated from the College’s Nursing Assistant, Radiography, Practical Nursing and Associate Degree Nursing programs, for her individual accomplishments and strong community involvement.
LaCourt’s career began as a Radiology Technologist with Door County Memorial Hospital in Sturgeon Bay.
In 2009, Ying founded Helping Hands Caregivers, an independent personal care agency that provides in-home assistance and it was one of the first certified personal care agencies in the state.
Ying is now majority owner of NEW Consolidated Management Group, a venture capital holding company which owns: AHEAD Human Resources, AHEAD Staffing, AHEAD Payroll Plus, Helping Hands Caregivers, and B & L Technologies.  Ying is also a licensed realtor with Brighten Realty.
Ying plays an active role in the community, previously serving as a member of the Board of Directors for: Brown County Oral Health Partnership, Brown County Library, and Eye Heart World.
She currently serves on the Excellence in Healthcare Committee with the State of Wisconsin Department of Quality Assurance, Greater Green Bay Community Foundation Board of Directors, E-Hub Advisory Board, and NeighborWorks Marketing Committee.
In addition to her volunteer work, Ying has been a loyal supporter, advocate, and resource for NWTC. She has provided leadership as a District Trustee and Educational Foundation Board Member. She was also the recipient of the Greater Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce Business Person of the Year Award in 2014.
NWTC is also honor Aurora Health Care with the Alumni Employer of the Year award.
Aurora Health Care was selected because of their continued hiring of NWTC graduates and support of technical education.

The award provides the College an opportunity to recognize an employer’s commitment to technical education.
