Monday March 12, 2018
Local student artists will be featured in an upcoming museum exhibit, and the public is invited to a reception to celebrate.

Art for All 2018 will be at the Neville Museum Green Bay March 17-June 3NWTC’s Artisan and Business Center is hosting an exhibition at the Neville Public Museum called “ART for ALL.” The exhibition will include pieces from the Artisan and Business Center Homeschool Art Program and East High Fine Arts Program. There will also be pieces from each studio, including Woodturning, Ceramics, Printmaking, Textiles, and Metals and Jewelry.

Beth Lemke, Executive Director of the Neville Public Museum, believes student art belongs with the professional and historical pieces that are also important to Northeast Wisconsin residents.

“I am personally excited as the ART for ALL exhibition focuses on student work from youth to adult artisans who have participated in art instruction at the center,” she said. “Focused on art instruction, the Artisan and Business Center at NWTC is filling a strong community demand and class participants are able to express their creativity through the arts.”

Suzanne Ritter, NWTC’s Artisan Center director, enthusiastically agrees.

“We are thrilled to partner with the Neville,” she said. “The beautiful, open space of the museum’s mezzanine provides us with an opportunity to showcase artistic works from many segments of our community. This year’s exhibition features a wide variety of pieces created by students and instructors of all ages and skill levels.”

The opening reception will be held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 20 at the Neville. Representatives of the Artisan and Business Center at NWTC will speak. Admission is free and light refreshments will be served. The exhibition itself runs from March 17 through June 3, 2018.
