Northeast Wisconsin Technical College taps Harper College Dean to lead Learning at the College.
Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) is pleased to announce Dr. Kathryn Rogalski has been named Vice President of Learning.
“I am excited about the opportunity to serve as the Vice President of Learning at a College, that has such a positive impact on the lives of its students and local community members,” said Rogalski.
Rogalski brings to NWTC over 18 years of experience of higher education administration, student success and teaching. Most recently, she served as dean of Business and Social Sciences at Harper College in Palatine, Ill.
“NWTC’s national reputation for work focused on student success and closing the achievement gap was what first appealed to me about this position, said Rogalski.
She added, “one of the aspects of my new role that I am most looking forward to is getting to know and understand the needs of our students and community partners.”
“We are extremely proud to have an educator and leader like Dr. Rogalski at NWTC. Kathryn is a relationship builder which will lend itself to the College’s culture of collaboration. She is highly respected among her peers and former institutions,” said NWTC President Dr. Jeff Rafn. “Dr. Rogalski is ready to lead the learning division and the college to even higher levels of performance in meeting student, community, and employer needs. “
Rogalski and her husband, Chris, are looking forward to moving to Northeast Wisconsin. She enjoys the outdoors, traveling, scuba diving and spending time with family.
“I love Northeast Wisconsin and have spent many summers and long weekends at our family home in Door County,” she said.
Dr. Rogalski has three grown children, Jon, Albert and Cora. Her oldest son, Jon lives in Oshkosh.
She earned her Ed.D. in Adult and Higher Education from Northern Illinois University, M.A. in the Social Sciences from the University of Chicago and B. A. in Psychology from Northeastern Illinois University.
Dr. Rogalski will join the College on August 6, 2018. She is replacing Dr. Lori Suddick, who is now the President of Lake County College in Illinois.
