NWTC Transportation Center now open

With the honk of a horn, the Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) Transportation Center was officially opened on October 23, 2017.

Dr. Jeff Rafn drove a semi truck through a checkered flag ribbon to officially open the brand new 63,000 square-foot building, which sits across from the College's main Green Bay campus on Packerland Drive.  Transportation Center at NWTC ribbon cutting with semi truck

The Transportation Center is home to the College’s Automotive, Auto Collision and new Diesel Medium and Heavy Truck programs.
 
The new  building includes:
  • a diesel truck repair lab
  • an auto collision refinishing lab
  • two auto repair labs complete with a shared parts department
  • four classrooms
  • a transportation welding shop
  • a modern high bay demonstration lab for instructional and corporate partner use
The facility serves up to 96 auto tech students, 96 diesel truck repair students, and 32 collision and refinishing students annually.
