Northeast Wisconsin Technical College 2017 State Ambassador Award

Betsy Burmeister, NWTC Supervisory Management graduate, named 2017 WTCS Ambassador.This year,  Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) is proud to announce Betsy Burmeister as the 2017 NWTC State Ambassador. Betsy is a December 2016 NWTC graduate with an Associate Degree in Supply Chain Management.
 
Betsy began her relationship with NWTC working towards a Supervisory Management certificate in the ‘90s. In the years to follow, Betsy gained valuable career experience that took her out of Wisconsin. After returning to the Green Bay area, she picked up right where she left off, continuing her life-long education at NWTC. As a result, she has reaped many personal and professional gains.
 
Betsy stated, “The tools NWTC offers, including an excellent staff supporting me along the way, make NWTC my preferred college to establish goals, and more importantly, attain them. The road to get where I am took many turns and the tools and services available at NWTC were a lifeline to my successful journey.” Betsy went on to say, “The course options, along with online classes, allowed me to reach my goal of completing my degree on my terms, while balancing a full-time job that required travel. It was made possible with the guidance and allegiance with NWTC. I can say with a grateful heart, that at NWTC they really do believe every student will succeed!”
 
As a State Ambassador Betsy will:
 
•         Help to develop greater public awareness and appreciation for the high quality technical education system which contributes to both the state’s economy and its citizens by providing occupational education.
•         Generate greater public respect and a more positive image for the leadership abilities, outstanding achievements, and contributions of our technical colleges.
•        The Wisconsin Technical College System Ambassador Program salutes the outstanding students in Wisconsin Technical Colleges and technical college education. Each of the 16 WTCS districts has the opportunity to name its own district ambassador and thus be a state ambassador. All state ambassadors will promote technical college education among professional organizations, civic groups, state and local officials, businesses and industries.
