MADISON —The Wisconsin Early Childhood Association and the Wisconsin Division for Early Childhood have named the Stronger Together Fox Valley winner of the Outstanding Partner award. The award was presented at the “Above and Beyond” awards to Northeast Wisconsin Technical College Early Childhood Instructor Joan Klinkner at the WECA annual conference in late October.

Stronger Together Fox Valley is ‘a network of citizens building relationships to make bold action possible.’ One of the network’s working groups - Good Early Start – was praised for leading initiatives that raise the visibility of early care and education and its value to the community. Examples include community viewings and conversation about the PBS documentary The Raising of America; Parent Cafés; and working with employers to revise or create policies that are supportive of families.

WECA is a statewide nonprofit organization for early childhood professionals.
