Welding students give back to the City of Green Bay

Friday May 13, 2016
GREEN BAY– Welding students at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) are using what they learned in the welding lab to help the City of Green Bay.

The students welded five bike racks for the city, with five more to come over the next few weeks. The racks will be placed around Green Bay.

This project is part of service learning at NWTC where students can apply their skills to help the community. The College is nationally recognized on the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll.

This is the second year in a row NWTC students donated bike racks to the city.
