Students raise thousands for local causes

GREEN BAY– Students from the Team Building and Problem Solving class at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) raised around $30,000 for local causes and charities.  Students from the Team Building and Problem Solving class at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College

During the spring semester, 60 students from two sections of the course were divided into eight teams. Each team had been charged with finding a cause and raising funds/awareness for that cause.

All in all the students helped nine different organizations including: the Rainbow House, Eye Heart World and Golden House. One team –Team Lyme,­ which took on Lyme disease awareness– broke the semester team record for fundraising.  They raised about $19,000 of the $30,000 class total.
