GREEN BAY – Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) automotive students donated a repaired 2007 Chrysler Town and Country to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Chapter #3 at the 30th annual NWTC Car Show and Swap Meet today. The NWTC Auto Club bought and repaired the minivan, with much of the work being done on the students’ own time.

"We're very excited to have the support of the NWTC students, particularly the automotive students, who are helping us to fulfill our promises to the men and women who served,” said Michael Schuenke, DAV Chapter #3 commander. The minivan will be used to transport chapter members to DAV functions.

Clover Auto and Truck Supply in Green Bay donated all the parts students used to repair on the minivan.

This project is part of service learning at NWTC where students can apply their skills to help the community. The College is nationally recognized on the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll.

The NWTC Auto Club organizes the annual car show and swap meet. All proceeds go to help automotive students receive certification and support the club’s service learning projects.
