For employers in and near Marinette/Menominee, training and education in automation, electromechanical, computers, welding, machining and more may be closer than you think. Residents and employers are invited to experience some local training opportunities--including high-tech mobile classrooms that can take training anywhere--when NWTC’s North Coast Marine and Manufacturing Training Center holds its Open House on July 19-20.

Visitors are invited to drop in between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. either day to check out opportunities for training for business and industry in automation, computers, electrical, leadership, welding and more. NWTC’s mobile training labs for Electromechanical and CNC Machining will be on site to show one way that training can be brought to trainees in any community.

The center is located at 1428 Main Street, Marinette, WI and it continues to expand, serving most industries (in addition to maritime trades). With an electrical lab, computer lab, welding lab, and conference space, plus the option of bringing in mobile classrooms, the center trains local employees around the clock for all shifts. Instructors deliver essential employability and interpersonal skills education, technical instruction and leadership training.
