Polzin named NWTC Marinette campus manager

GREEN BAY – Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) has appointed Christine (Wagner) Polzin to serve as campus manager at the College’s Marinette campus.

“I am excited to lead the Marinette campus and continue the College’s commitment to ensuring that all students achieve their educational goals,” said Polzin.   Polzin

Polzin, a Peshtigo area native, is no stranger to NWTC-Marinette. She served as an academic advisor at the Marinette campus, where she assisted in the campus redesign, organized events, and managed the campus emergency fund and starting over grants. She joined NWTC- Marinette in 2011 after four years with Rhinelander High School.

 She will succeed Jan Scoville who is now serving NWTC as dean, regional learning.

Polzin will oversee the campus budget; provide strategic direction and leadership over the day-to-day operations at the Marinette campus.  Her top priorities will be increasing enrollment, expanding student success and building community relationships.

“We will be starting our referendum building project in the next few months and I look forward to the upcoming transformation of the Marinette campus and the new opportunities it will allow us to offer our students and the community,” she added.  

Polzin received a Bachelor of Arts in sociology from Saint Norbert College and earned her Alternative Education License from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. She currently lives in Peshtigo with her husband, Craig, and three boys.
