UPDATE: Mid-Year Graduation WILL be held tonight, 6 p.m. Dec. 16, 2016 as planned

About 1,000 students will graduate from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College this month.

NWTC's main December 2016 Commencement Exercises will be
held at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16 at the KI Convention Center. (Graduates: See commencement instructions on the Student Involvement web site.) All graduating students from all NWTC locations are invited to march in the main commencement ceremony in Green Bay.

A few little-known facts about this graduating class: 
  • 1,001 students are eligible for December graduation
  • 300 are participating (as of 12/9/2016)
  • Approximately 11% are minority students
  • 123 are graduating as Phi Theta Kappa
  • 1 international student
  • 17 veterans are eligible for graduation

Dayna Banjamin, District and WTCS Ambassador
Supply Chain Management and Business Management graduate

Dayna Benjamin 2016 NWTC District and WTCS Ambassador

Dayna Benjamin is the 2016 NWTC District Ambassador. As District Ambassador, Dayna advocates and promotes the importance of technical education through various outlets and events during the year. 

Dayna holds Associate Degrees from NWTC in Supply Chain Management and in Business Management. She is currently pursuing bachelor's degrees in Business Management and Human Resources from Concordia University. While at NWTC, Dayna was an active leader in numerous student organizations and served as Vice-President of Student Veterans of American and President of the Supply Chain Management student club. Dayna was also a member of NWTC's Phi Theta Kappa chapter.

Commenting on her time at NWTC, Benjamin said, "When I decided to return to school in 2013, I knew I would have to put my fears aside and focus on my goals. What I did not expect was the fail-proof plan for success that NWTC had to offer. I am forever grateful for the wonderful experience I received as a returning adult student and have been honored to share that experience."
