Wednesday April 6, 2016 GREEN BAY – High school students from around the Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) district will spend Friday, April 8 testing their skills and competing for college scholarships in areas such as business, technology, trades, engineering and health science. WHAT: Catapult Catastrophe Students were asked to build and design a catapult, which demonstrates the principles of physics. The fastest team to destroy a tall target with a range of 6 – 8 meters in one placement of the catapult wins. WHEN: Friday, April 8, 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. WHERE: NWTC Gym WHAT: Auto Body Skill Test Students demonstrate their skills repairing car damage. Each student is required to repair the damage to industry standards. WHEN: Friday, April 8, 9:00 a.m. - noon WHERE: NWTC room FA111 WHAT: Welding Skills Competition In this competition students must demonstrate their skills in oxy/acetylene cutting and multiple welding processes.
