NWTC HVAC student takes 2nd in national skill competition

An NWTC apprentice in the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning program is one of the top finishers in a national skill completion.Daniel Mercier, third year apprentice working at AMA Heating and Air Conditioning, took second in the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) National Craft Championship.

ABC's annual National Craft Championship​s celebrate ABC’s and its member firms’ training and education efforts. Craft trainees from ABC chapters and member firms across the U.S. come together to compete in the intense two-day event. Young men and women compete in one of 15 competitions, representing 11 crafts. The 25-year-old event now attracts 1,500 participants "in what has grown to become one of the construction industry’s most recognized and revered craft skills events," according to ABC's web site.
