The recipients and donors of more than $300,000 in student scholarships were recognized during the Northeast Wisconsin Technical College Educational Foundation’s 2014 Donor Recognition and Scholarship Awards Banquet September 9 at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center in Green Bay. The event brought together hundreds of scholarship winners and donors for a night of shared celebration.
The banquet featured a reception, dinner, silent auction, and culminated with an awards program where scholarship donors personally met the students whose lives they’ve impacted.
- More than $300,000 was distributed in student scholarships this year to some 400 NWTC students.
- The average award per student is more than $700.
- The scholarships are provided through the generous support of more than 200 donors.
In addition to the scholarship awards ceremony, Cathy Williquette Lindsay, a 1985 and 1992 graduate of NWTC and current Brown County Register of Deeds, was honored with the 2014 NWTC Distinguished Alumni Award from the NWTC Alumni Association.
