Northeast Wisconsin Technical College will celebrate Veterans Day with a week of events November 10 – 14 on the Green Bay campus. Sponsored by the NWTC Veterans Resource Center and NWTC Student Involvement, Veterans Week includes presentations, a dinner, a veteran resource fair, flag ceremonies, a comedy act, and an armed forces memorabilia display. All events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.
The schedule includes:
Monday, November 10
7:55 a.m.: Flagpole area in front of Student Center
Raising of the flag and reveille, conducted by the Oneida VFW Honor Guard.
- Veterans Resource Center Open House
8:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m., Student Center, Room SC135
Tour the Center and enjoy snacks and coffee.
Tuesday, November 11
- Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) Memorabilia Display
9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., Student Center, Commons
Learn about the significance of the items on display from members of the VVA.
- Vietnam Veterans of America Presentation and Dinner
Open to veterans only (please bring your DD214)
3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m., Student Center, Executive Dining Room (SC128)
Members of the VVA will share their experiences and answer any questions. A light meal will be provided.
Wednesday, November 12
- Food for Thought Speaker Series: “Faces of War: My Struggle. My Survival. My Story” CANCELED Due to Weather (To Be Rescheduled)

A combat veteran will provide a personal and candid look at how war affects our generation.
Thursday, November 13
- Laughs and Lunch Series: The GIs of Comedy

The GIs of Comedy are all veterans who still serve their country, one joke at a time.
Friday, November 14

Flag lowering and retreat, conducted by the Desert Veterans of Wisconsin.
