Students in NWTC's Welding Club will deliver some special gifts to St. Vincent Hospital on Thursday. The club will bring 50 stuffed animals for the tiniest patients in the St. Vincent intensive care unit.

Students raised funds by selling stuffed animals in NWTC's cafeteria. The toys were purchased from a company that donates proceeds to the March of Dimes. Approximately 16 students were involved.

Each toy will come with an attached card, conveying the students' good wishes to the families of the hospitalized children.

Students will present their gifts to St. Vincent Hospital staff at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18. To prevent the spread of germs in the NICU, the ceremony will be held away from the area where the children are staying.

Reporters are welcome to attend.
