Cindy K Academic Advisor
What I do at NWTC and how long I've been here:
I am an academic advisor and have been at NWTC for 6 years.
How my work relates to student success:
I work as a student advocate, so I have the honor of helping students succeed as the nature of my work. I help them academically, financially and personally. I am able to spend considerable time in the classrooms, labs and even on field trips to develop rapport with students. Their success is the goal of my position.
Why I love coming to work at NWTC:
I feel appreciated and respected at NWTC. The benefits of working here are too numerous to mention, but I come here every day proud of the work that we do as a college. I have the opportunity to be myself without fear of repercussions, as long as that means working hard and making choices in the best interest of our students. I am given freedom to try new things and work with new people. Being able to provide such important and life changing services to people every day is a unique and wonderful opportunity.
What makes working at NWTC unique:
NWTC cares about us in so many ways. Our wellness in general is a top priority and it shows in the services we are offered. Having worked other places, I cannot argue that NWTC is the employer of choice in this area.
